The highly aromatic scent of the Swiss stone pine filling can have a positive influence on sleep quality, general well-being, and relaxation during sleep. The Swiss stone pine (pinus cembra) is a pine species native to the Alps. Due to its high adaptability – it grows even in very barren environments near the tree line – it is called the "Queen of the Alps." Its hard heartwood is rich in essential oils – Alpine vacationers often recognize this typical scent from traditional guest rooms, where Swiss stone pine has been used as a high-quality building material for centuries to promote coziness. For our filling, we use fresh stone pine heartwood, which is richly imbued with essential oils. The finely planed shavings are sewn into a sturdy 100% cotton cover. This makes the sleeping sheep a high-quality product that we are delighted to have included in our collection of genuine "feel-good" items.
